Recording Stock Usage

You can record item usage separately from item sales. Alternatively, item usage can be turned off so the system is compatible with Micronet v2.6. This would mean that warehouse sales quantities are updated when an MRF order is posted to an MJC order, and warehouse sales values are updated when the MJC order is invoiced.

1. Display the Inventory Configuration screen.

Refer to "Edit - Program - Inventory".

2. Select the browse button (…) next to the Stock Usage field.

Micronet displays the Get Consumption Method screen.

3. Check the appropriate boxes:

• Sales – quantities and values for usage will be recorded when items are sold
• Transfer to Jobs – quantities and values for usage will be recorded when items are transferred between warehouses
• Transfer to Kits – quantities and values for usage will be recorded when components are consumed in works orders
• Transfer to Consignment Customers – quantities and values for usage will be recorded when items are transferred for consignment customers
• Use in Roll Forming – quantities and values for usage will be recorded when component items are consumed in job cards.

If you uncheck all the options, the system will revert to be compatible with Micronet v2.6.

4. When you have finished, select Ok to redisplay the Inventory Configuration screen.

Updating of usage statistics is a complex area which depends on the combination of options you have ticked on the Get Consumption Method screen. The following tables provide more information.
